I am unable to print using wifi and have to hard wire to my laptop. Is there any action which I can take to repair this fault/problem.
It happens on two laptops, see below. The "grey" item is the wifi which it says has been off for more than a month. The printer wifi light is "on".

Thanks,
Fortyfoot

1. Goto Devices and Printers (in Control Panel or just type Devices in Cortana);
2. remove Canon MG3200 Series Printer WS.
3. add a printer
Hopefully it will come up with the wifi printer.
PS. I may regret writing the post; I hate printers; wifi printers are best given a hardcoded(static) IP address.0 -
Thanks, I tried that but it did not work on either laptop. I will now leave my old laptop hard wired to the Canon MG3200 printer with defective wifi.

the greyed out bits seem to be related to google cloud printing, have you tried logging into google before printing?
Is the default printer on the laptop(s) set to cloud print rather than direct to the printer?0 -
Microsoft print to PDF is the default. I am always logged into google.
I am now resigned to printing hard wired with the spare laptop.

With our Samsung Wireless printer, you need to connect it to your WIFI network before any other device will find it.
You should be able to do this with WPS depending on the router, a brief summary is below, and is not specific to a router / printer combo.
Press and hold WPS button on the router, a light somewhere usually flashes.
Press and hold the WPS button on the printer, it will then attempt to pair with the router.
if the router does not support WPS then to print you may need to download and install software specific for that printer and run through a setup wizard which will manually configure the printer.0
