in Credit cards
Hi all hoping to get a bit of advice.
Have had an MBNA card for about 18months with a 3k credit limit. Last month I got a letter to inform me that I was getting an automatic increase to 6k on December 1st. I rang up a couple of weeks ago to see if I could have it applied straight as I have done with other providers in the past. This time i was referred for further checking and despite no change in circumstances the increase was declined. My question is has anyone else experienced this and will I still get the automatic increase in December or will it disappear now? I did ring and ask them but all the person said was the think it will still be applied but couldn't say for sure.
Thanks in advance

Did the letter say that you could request it early?
I know it's standard across most providers, but perhaps MBNA don't offer that. It should have been detailed in the letter if it was an option.0 -
Looking back no the letter didnt I think as I had been accustomed to early increases with other lenders I didn't stop to think0

It may be the early request was manually review where as the letter is a computer generated one.
As long as your account hasnt been fully reviewed then you should still get the auto increase0 -
Really can't understand why people are so stupid on here.0

? Why stupid.I see no stupid replies0

Do you know if they applied a credit check to increase the limit?0
