0 % balance transfer card or low standard rate APR

With a balance of of £1500, I have come to the end of my 0% deal and want to change.

I am having a baby next year so want a card that will suit a balance transfer of £1500 and maybe some necessary spending should it be required in the future.

Do I therefore go for a 0% balance transfer card, or would I be better sticking to one of the low rate APR cards instead?

The 0% cards are charging around 19% apr on purchases and a 3% balance transfer fee, where as a low rate APR will be approx 6.4% APR with no balance transfer fee.

You'll need to do the math as to how quickly you can repay and how much spending you plan to put the card.

If you intend to clear the purchases in full each month, then use a separate card from any BT you do.
