Thanks, hadn't spotted that. Given that we are (supposedly) on our way out of the EU I can't really see any reason to peg our compensation level to the Euro, so they should pick a number and stick to it, with reviews scheduled to factor in inflation.0

Ostensibly that seems to make sense
However the negotiation period may be two years or longer, and then there will be agreed transition periods on a number of matters, who knows possibly including this.
So we can't secede from it yet.0 -

I'm fully expecting Scotland to stay in the EEA, if not the full EU, with or without our friends in the south.

The EUR 100,000 benchmark is EEA wide.
And when that happens (i.e. post independence) Scotland's central bank can tie it's compensation back in to the Euro limit. I wouldn't hold your breath though
