Hello All
I hope I am not posting it in wrong place...
In August 2015 I gave up my work to look after my children. I planned to work at home in free time, so I filled that online form, as wanted to be self employed. I have not received any letter regarding this from Revenue - no confirmation, no UTR number, nothing. I didn't really have time for anything else than looking after my children and running home, litterally earned only £145.08 and in whole tax year I have not earned more than personal allowance. In April 2016 I have returned to work.
Now I have received letter from the revenue, they want to know my income. I presume I need to make my self-assesment.
Does it mean they think I am self-employed? Do I need to pay all NI contributions? So far I haven't pay anything as wasn't even sure if I am in their system (no confirmation) and didn't earn much?
