Have to take down roller blind in kitchen to decorate, I've taken them down before and have never got them working properly again.
Do you have to pull them down then take them out of the fittings or take them out rolled up, blinds are the type where you use a plastic chain type to get blinds up or down, there newish type.

Depends on the mechanism use but most now are quite basic in operation so dont really go wrong.
You should be able to pop out the roll itself out (there should be a catch either side that can pop open) If not it will be a case of putting a bit of pressure to prise it out. Some have a track for want of abetter word that it needs fitting through should be fairly easy to work out if it is and get off.
Up to you if you want to remove the brackets themselves but thats just a screwdriver.
The pull chain should pull out quite easily (out as in its slotted in to the pole the blind is on.)
Its easier doing it all rolled up.0
