Any really small, but super bright floodlights?

We want to have 2 spotlights/floodlights on the front of the house connected to a PIR, so if anyone approaches at night it lights up the whole driveway, we live in a rural, fairly secluded area so want to make the front of the house as bright as possible, can anyone recommend a super bright, but small in size floodlight?
Also, was considering a perimeter alarm, the through-beam type.. does anyone have any experiences?

I bought a 10W LAP LED floodlight from Screwfix fairly recently, Certainly a compact and small unit, although not as bright as (say) a 100W halogen flood. The main reason for getting an LED flood was the lower energy consumption.
Looking at the other LED floodlights listed at Screwfix, you can get some as high as 200W - That is going to be a very bright light.. A 50W may be a more cost effective solution though.Any language construct that forces such insanity in this case should be abandoned without regrets. –

What sort of area are you trying to light (l&w)
Anywhere other than the house you could mount lights?0 -
Thanks people, the driveway is 8.5m long (going from the house) and 7m wide. We park close to the house, so theres a clear 4m area between our front boundary line and the back of both the cars (parked face in).
Ideally we want to light up the whole driveway as bright as possible (without annoying anyone nearby, not any houses that close to us) more as a deterrant to anyone who wanders onto our property at night0 -

We are planing on having 3 or 4 bollard/post lights down each side of the drive, low light more to light it for us when we get home and to look nice in the evenings, but we want to blind anyone who ventures on once we go to bed. Any sensor lights will be on a switch so the PIR can be switched on when we go to bed0 -

When working out the brightness of LED lights, ignore the wattage! Different LED bulbs may consume the same wattage but will output a varying amount of light.
You want to be looking at the lumens. 800 lumens is approx. 60w old school filament bulbs!0 -
If it is aesthetically acceptable many a floodlight available for 'building sites' that are very bright. Try local builders merchant, screwfix already mentioned toolstation http://www.toolstation.com/shop/Lighting/d220/Site+Lights/sd2480 also plus electrical outlets.
Take off bracket and mount on wall?
Alternatively anyone know of a good military laser supplier?:rotfl:0 -

As in laser targeting systems or weaponised lasers ?
For the latter, I know of a couple of sources for industrial lasers in the kilowatt range - Not cheap, but will slice through steel pretty quick
