Looked online couldn't find any info...

When trying to apply for a loan/Overdraft (Or Extending it) Barclays (Checked loan to see if it said the same as overdraft don't need one)

It say's

We're sorry but your credit information isn't available right now so you can't apply for an overdraft/loan online.

I was just checking as wanted £100-£300 Overdraft on spending account (Will probably not need to use it at all) just in case I need it...

I applied for £300 before online so why not now I am just wondering thats all..

Is this to do with my credit score?? or because I just opened new 2nd current account barclays

Either their in-house scoring assessment system is down or their link to the CRA(s) is down.

Why not ring them and ask if it is the above...or something much more sinister?

    My credit score is 643...

Always paid my CC on time via DD in full..

Never been in Debt/had any defaults/CCJS etc

They told me I have not met the required lvl for credit etc..

Is probably because I opened 2nd bank account and upgraded my phone contract within the last few months so will wait 3/6 months and try again

    why is it very wrong??

    Noddle 643/710
    Clear score Says 503/700
    Experian 983/999

    is that bad?

will wait few months as made 1 application and upgrade my phone
  • Because 643 adds up to 13. Very worrying. :)

Not really. The scores are just entirely irrelevant.

As you can see, one company scores you good, one average and the last great.

But none of them are going to lend you money, so you can ignore their opinion. All that matters is the data on your file.

They are taking the p1ss. Scores are indicative only, but some punters think they are random numbers - they aren't.
