Foreign Currency on Credit Card

Just curious about ordering in the region of £2000 worth of Euros and paying on a Barclaycard.
Barclaycard has a credit limit over £6k but has a cash limit of £1150
i believe the interest rates are 7.9% purchases and 9.9% cash

If i ordered from thecurrencyclub or similar online site what would happen?
Would it be declined because my cash limit too low?
Would it clear and i be charged 9.9% from the transaction date?

I'm unsure if a cash limit includes cash-like purchases (ie. not cash withdraws).

*If* it works, you'd be charged your cash rate (9.9%) plus your cash fee (normally 2.99% with Barclaycard).

So you'd get ~£2,060 on your statement then pay interest of 9.9% from the day of purchase.

I assume you're travelling abroad...? You'd be better off paying £2k onto Revolut (paying a 1% fee with Revolut), have it treated as a purchase (thus, no cash fee + 7.9% rate). Swap to Euro in-app (getting far better rate than thecurrencyclub) and use the Revolut card to pay transactions / take Euros out of a cashpoint in Europe.
