Child Benefit query

My daughter was born on the 28th of May 1998 at that time I was a lone parent. In June 2002 I moved in with my partner and my lone parent claim was stopped. I have recently been informed that I may have still received my daughters child benefit at the lone parent rate as I had claimed before a certain date can anyone confirm or deny this please

Thsi seems to confirm that,
Child Benefit
Child Benefit is a tax-free benefit for people bringing up children, regardless of income, for each child aged under 16.
One Parent Benefit
From 6th July 1998, the lone parent rate of Child Benefit (£17.10) will be ended for new claimants. Any lone parent who has been entitled to the lone parent rate of Family Premium (Income Support) and who starts work after 5 April 1998 will still be able to make a new claim for the lone parent rate of Child Benefit as long as they claim within one month of starting work.I no longer work in Council Tax Recovery but instead work as a specialist Council Tax paralegal assisting landlords and Council Tax payers with council tax disputes and valuation tribunals. My views are my own reading of the law and you should always check with the local authority in question.0 -
I've always thought that the Child Benefit claim was the same for everyone regardless of circumstance (ie £17 p/w for first child and £11 p/w for any subsequent children).
If you've a query with your Child Benefit, then you are best to call them directly on 0845 302 1444.
Edit: Have just seen your post CIS - that clears it up!"One day I realised that when you are lying in your grave, it's no good saying, "I was too shy, too frightened."
Because by then you've blown your chances. That's it."0
