Halifax clarity credit card for purchases abroad

Hi all, I had a bit of a thought. I'm going to New York in January with my sisters and a friend and thought about changing up about £500 for eating/drinks/tips and £1,000 to spend on myself and gifts. However, I don't know what I'm likely to want to buy. I don't plan on going back to America any time soon or know anyone that's going to buy any unused dollars off of me. So instead of wasting money changing it up and changing it back I looked into getting a credit card to spend on as I didn't know how much you'd be charged for using a card abroad.
Am I reading this correctly, with a Halifax clarity credit card there is 0% charge for using it abroad?
If that's the case, I'm thinking about changing up the £500 for food and use the card for clothes and general shopping. Am I missing anything at all, it sounds too good to be true!
Many thanks

You are correct that there is no foreign transaction charge on this card.
Most cards charge 2.95% so by using this card as opposed to another card you will save about £30 on a £1000 spend. Nice but not exactly too good to be true.0 -
No transaction fees for withdrawing cash but you still pay interest if you dont repay the balance in full when it's due. It's not a 0% card.0

If by 'changing up', you mean buying USD here before you go, don't bother. Take it out of an ATM when you get there, still no charge except daily interest till you pay it off (which you can do online, either while you're there or as soon as you get back).0

Best for using as purchases overseas.
Good for drawing cash overseas.
ATM might charge you. Try TD Bank.
Repay balance in full ASAP after drawing cash to avoid interest.
Rubbish for buying currency before you depart.0
