How much for new tire?

How much should I be paying for a new tire?

Years ago if I got a flat I took it to my local place, it was about £18 or I think over £20 once which I thought was a bit steep.

But I know that was a long time ago.

How much these days should it be? If I go to quickfit or something

By the way it's a Vauxhall zaphara, I got a puncture so put the spare on. I know some people drive around without a spare but I want to get a new tire because the last one was worn down anyway

I've just paid £55 per tyre (everything included) for a couple of new tyres for my basic-specification Fiesta. That was at a local tyre specialist (not one of the national chains). Your car is bigger, but the cost per tyre is likely to be under £100 unless it's a high performance model or requires an unusual size. There are plenty of websites which will give you a price if you type in your registration number, such as http://www.blackcircles.com.

How long is a piece of string ?
You could get a part worn one for less than the cost of a remold. And you could get a remold for less than a new one. And there's probably lots of new tyres better than others which you'll pay extra for.

You might need to add £15-£20 to prices on blackcicles if you want to buy locally.
The comments I post are my personal opinion. While I try to check everything is correct before posting, I can and do make mistakes, so always try to check official information sources before relying on my posts.

it will probably cost you about £400.00

if the tyre with a puncture was worn down then chances are the other tyre on the same axle could also be worn down and if you go to kwik fit it will need four new tyres tyres rather than just one

when was the last time you checked your tyres

Buy your tyres on blackcircles.com and have a local tyre fitter fit them for you.
I came into this world with nothing and I'm gonna leave with nothing.

Yes, but Kwik Fit will inflate your tyres with Nitrogen I believe. ;)

    Thanks I hope it's around £55

The cheapest option fitted come out £37, but that seems too good to be true

The side of the tyre tells you what size it is. Then go onto any of a million tyre supplier websites, and get a price.

Depends whether you fly to the USA to buy your tire or have it shipped over. Either way it would probably be cheaper to buy your tyre closer to home.
