Please help me remove HP software

I had a HP C5200 years ago, and am trying to remove these software items
It's on a Vista PC.

I've tried the 'Uninstall' option in control panel, and it does nothing.
I tried it in safe mode, nothing.
I've got the original disk, and when I try the uninstall option it just says are you sure etc, then does nothing.

Can anyone help me to remove these, I don't want to have to wipe the PC.

I don't know, is 'Absolute Uninstaller' a free download?

.. I just found a free 'Absolute Uninstaller' and tried it but all the HP things are still there.

Just tried another one called 'Uninstaller' http://download.cnet.com/Uninstaller/3000-2096_4-75765393.html

..which removed the HP things from the control panel list, but when I click:

Start > All programs The file for HP is still there with things in it.

    Any other suggestions?

If its been uninstalled (its not in the Program list) just delete "The file [its probably a folder] for HP with things in it"

Silly question maybe, but have you tried Control Panel --> Programmes and Features -- choose programme, Uninstall?

The only other method I can think of is removing via the registry, if you are OK with that.
I think this job really needs
    a much bigger hammer.

The uninstall program did nothing when I clicked 'uninstall', but removed them when I clicked 'remove from list'. I just have a feeling they're still there somewhere as I've not seem any confirmation of 'uninstalled'.

Yes I tried that, but nothing happened. I'm not too Techy, but could maybe do it with step by step instructions?

Instructions to upgrade to Windows 7 at least? That would solve the HP issue for sure.

Brand name and model of PC?

Only if you don't copy them elsewhere, as you would need to run a clean install. Of course you could just swap internal drives and install to a clean drive.
    Yes, it's free.
