Keep Getting Pestered By PPI Company.

Long story coming up so i apologise in advance
So about 6-8 months ago i got a phone call out of the blue from a company called 'thePPIteam' saying that i could be owed hundreds of pounds, i wasn't completely on the ball that day and went along with the phone conversation letting them know what credit cards i have had in the past 10 years and any loans take out (didn't give them any current cards i use), to be honest i have only ever had 3 CC at the same time and that's when i was at uni (only have 1 now) and only ever taken out 1 loan for a car so i wasn't holding out much hope for them getting anything for me.
Anyway they sent me a form to sign and send back but in the light of a new day i decided not to bother with it as i thought it could be some scam to get my details or something so threw it in the bin. Now i keep getting phone calls and text messages from them every other week or so (6 months later) still saying they haven't received my form back yet and could be owned hundreds of pounds. Then back last week i got another form from them (this is only the 2nd one they have sent out to be fair to them) i thought they are being very persistent and was about to throw it in the bin again when a friend i was with said they got a similar company phone them up and got about £800 back!.
So now im in 2 minds, i actually read the form this time and see that they take 30% of all claims retrieved and now i know why they are being so persistent!. The percentage value doesn't bother me a great deal as i was never intending to fill out the form anyways but now its got me think what do i have to lose and even if i only get £300 back after they have taken their commission its still £300 i didn't have before!
So what are people views of these type of companies?, are they a scam to get your details etc or should i fill the form out with the outlook of 'nothing to lose'??
Also has anyone on here actually dealt with 'thePPIteam' before?

Buy your own stamp and send off your own complaint. Job done and no need to pay hundreds to a company.
Quicker than providing them all the info too.0 -

Did that friend also tell you how many hundreds of pounds he paid for the stamp that put the complaint form in the post to the bank/lender/provider?and see that they take 30% of all claims retrieved
Plus VAT at 20%.So what are people views of these type of companies?
Cold calling parasites.or should i fill the form out with the outlook of 'nothing to lose'??
Why dont you fill out a PPI complaint form and send it to your card providers directly? Free apart from the cost of a stamp.I am an Independent Financial Adviser (IFA).
