Ticketmaster and their ilk

I can't be the only person questioning the extra charges added to the price of gig tickets when you buy them.
I bought 2 tickets for REM at Hyde Park next summer from Ticketmaster, advertised at £35 each. However on top of that ticket price was then added a £4 service charge and a £4.95 processing fee. Is it just me or do these fees sound like the same thing but 2 payments? I looked around at a load of options on the internet, and all the ticket companies were charging the same amounts on top of the £35.
Seems to me that they should be forced to advertise the tickets as costing £43.95, as even if you bought them in person from a booking office (do these still exist? ) I expect the add-ons would still be charged.

I cant see any other way of booking tickets though...
A couple of years ago I bought two tickets to see Five in Kent (sad I know!) but they split up and the gig never took place.
It took months and months of hassling them to get the money back!!!
It was very embarassing as my friend had given me the money for her ticket but I couldnt afford to give her the money back until I got it off Ticketmaster....0
