Can't sign in to Windows

Since using Windows 10 for several months I have not had any problems until yesterday and today when it keeps saying it can't log into my Windows account. I have tried signing out and back in again as it suggests several times but no joy. I am very thick when it comes to IT but if anyone can offer me a simple cure I would be very grateful. TIA.

No it's a desktop.

I assume you've already tried turning the power off and on again

So, next try inputting your password into the on-screen keyboard via the ease of access icon, that sometimes works and if so check your keyboard settings.

The icon is in the bottom right-hand corner.

What does "can't log in" mean? Is it not accepting your password? If so, do this from any PC, and make sure your computer (that you can't log onto) is connected to the Internet after you've reset it

When typing the password, you can see a small eye icon in the right side of the password box. You can click the eye icon to check if your typed password is correct.
