Well the interview seemed to go well. The questions were not too bad and the woman interviewing me seemed happy with my answers.

We chatted quite a bit before the questions, between the questions and after the questions too and had quite a lot in common.

She is going to let me know one way or another on Thursday as she is interviewing tomorrow and Wednesday.

I am not going to get my hopes up too much but I think I may be in with a chance. There are 2 vacancies but, obviously, it will depend on the others she sees.

She didn't seem at all bothered by my age. She said she thinks it good to have staff with a mixture of ages. Made me feel good because I really thought my age was against me.

I'll let you know when I hear. My fingers are crossed because I really liked the sound of it and they sound pretty good to work for. Unusually for retail they close all bank holidays and Sundays which I think is brilliant

Sounds like it went as well as it could :) If there's lot of informal chatting that's a good sign I reckon.

I'm glad she's said that about your age too, sounds like she'd be a good boss to work for. And I agree with her, your age is a plus, it means you've got a lot of experience.

    Hope you get it.

Well despite being told I would definitely hear yes or no on Thursday (yesterday) I have heard nothing!

I guess I didn't get it but I am not happy that they didn't let me know.

    No news is good news.

Give them a ring, or drop her an email on Monday.

Don't give up hope yet - it may be a sign of them waiting for others to confirm acceptance (if you're the next choice; I'd never tell them that they didn't get the job until my first choice has accepted while all the definite nos are told immediately) but, likewise, it might just be that a decision maker was not around or the decision was delayed for another reason. Or it might be close and they want to sleep over it. Until they've said no anything is possible- if they are open tomorrow give them a call to ask. Keeping ng my fingers crossed for you

My husband says I should phone her but I feel it makes me look a bit sad and desperate!

I do keep thinking something may have cropped up as she definitely said she would let me know one way or another. She told me her mum was ill and she was worried about her and she kept checking her phone throughout the interview.

I think I may email her if I can find an email address

    Thank you.

I can't take the credit for my signature - it was said by Simon Pegg on David Bowie's death. Me and OH are big fans. I started liking him when I was about 19 and I'm now in my 60's.
