You don't half post a lot of bank related questions.

You might be unlucky with your various banks, but you're lucky with your barber.

Ten quid for a haircut, now that's cheap!

Ive paid £9 before but found even cheaper for £7.
  • £4.99 for my last haircut.

The bank clerk was not ignorant, the facts they have given you and the actions are correct. That is the same process my husband followed when this happened to him. As others above he was then credited the money at a later date.

I don't mean ignorant as in sending me to the bank, I just mean her general posture and attitude towards the situation. It was just a "Go away and stop bothering me" kind of attitude

Actually my hair cut was also £4.99 :rotfl: Although the smallest I could get out of any of the machines in the area is £10. I've gone to the same Barbers for the past 15 years or so and it used to be about £2.50 back then

The dispute is put in with your issuing bank, who will check that the money wasn't automatically reversed back into your account, (The owner of the ATM can't see this so need to be your bank issuer FD)

They FD then action the ATM dispute, which sends a online form for the owner of the ATM to provide balances and if it is out then you a given your missing money.

FD is the one that files the dispute.
