A not unknown behaviour from Gladstones. Yes telephone the court and check out the veracity of what they’ve said.

Others better placed than me will comment further, but I’d be seeking for the judge to strike this out, and with a cost order against them for your wasted time due to their unreasonableness.

Thanks for a swift response, Umkomaas.

I phoned the court and it was explained to me that my hearing, which was listed as a backup (which I was aware of), has been superseded by a more pressing matter in the family court, which I accept. The member of staff at the county court said that her records showed notification had been given to the defendant, but I haven't received anything at all, so it seems like an error on the court's part.

I have no idea why the claimant phoned me and said that they 'didn't have time to attend the hearing' so were requesting rescheduling. I'm wondering if the claimant's call was pure coincidence (and a typical ploy, as you say) and they hadn't received notification of the stay either?!

I would state that such a late deferral from a supposedly professional company is not acceptable, they have known about this for X months.

You request the hearing goes ahead in their absence, as they were not sending a witness in any case, and the case is decided on the agreed date.

    Thanks for your reply Nosferatu.

I've now resolved the matter - the phone call was from the court itself, but the guy on the phone didn't identify himself as such. As it was a withheld number and so close to the hearing I was in the frame of mind that it would be the claimant trying something on. So a complete mix up.

Hearing will be fixed on a new date sometime likely in the next 6 weeks (but any time up until the end of May). What an absolute pain, I was so ready to end this!

Hi CM, am an older person and definitely not a techie. Have been browsing for a couple of hours, lost, then spotted " check leasehold agreement ", which I did. For me it states that " such parking shall be subject to conditions specified by the council ", so disappointed that I cannot make a stand, so far. Both Wing and the council have failed to operate over the last 5 years, and also to comment on letters of complaint, with the last one about 65 cars parked over 2 months for free, why am I paying. However, just noticed, that the letter from Wing has no membership details ?, so looking in to.
Like your " to the point comments ", and Jonneres !
Do not have a ticket, but wanted to object to paying for permit, well see.

You need to contain your questions to your own thread rather than hijacking other people's threads, now well over 18 months old. One case, one thread - your own!
