I lost mine last year. all I had to do was call the Inland revenue and they sent me a letter giving all the info I needed for tax credits. They can't tell you over the phone but can send the info to your home address.
(Just for me to enter onto a form and send back to them!)
good luck0 -

AFAIR, we never had to show any proof of income to claim. We told them over the phone what it was and signed a declaration. In fact I can't actually recall having to show proof of income in all the time we've had it.0 -
I managed to get a copy of mine as I lost it in a house move (I know I know must label boxes next time!!)
I worked for a chain of hotels so took a few weeks to get an answer from the head of payroll but got a photocopy of their original with "duplicate" written on the top.
(even said on the bottom of it to keep in safe place as copies cannot be given!! :rotfl: )0 -
Employers are allowed to issue duplicate P60's. Most payroll software will have the option to print one directly onto plain paper with DUPLICATE accross the top.
One of the above posters is correct though, if they say they can't do that you can ask for a 'statement of earnings' which will give you exactly the same information.0 -
i lost my p60 in 2008, now i need for home office, the company i was working is no more exist, what i should do to get a copy of my p60??0

To make a claim, you don't need to have any proof of income as HMRC know all this already and you declare your previous and current year income on the form (I think the latter is done through the phone). This will be checked at the end of the tax year so you need accurate figures so a P60 is vital in that sense unless you can work out your figures from payslips and other documents.0
