Website Creation - Robo-Advice Website

Hello Everyone,
I have had a customer approach me as I offer website design and creation services.
They have asked for a website similar to https://www.habito.com which basically is a flow chart of questions and then it matches you to a product.
The customer has said to me that he has a company that provides the algorithms etc however would like me to integrate it into a website for him.
I have never created one of these before and if you enter an email address on that site above you can see how it is, it asks a series of questions (very much like you are messaging someone on a iPhone) and then gathers the answers the person provides and then match's them to a product that is suitable.
I have searched on Google for quite sometime using keywords such as "robo-advice" and "mortgage questions and answer" and gather data by chatbot but I am not having much luck.
I would like to know if anyone on MSE has experience of this please as I am not in a full time job at present and would love to help this chap but my knowledge is limited in this area, I am willing to research and teach myself, but I am finding it hard to find a starting point.
Many thanks in advance.

What web skills do you have?0

I dont know much on coding directly, I usually create websites using platforms such as Joomla and Wordpress.
Yes I agree I am not a true hardcore web designer, but I have put together some nice websites using the methods I do know.0 -
So you'll want a plugin or widget type solution?

While you have time on your hands why not learn to code propperly ?
PHP is easy to pick up, as is javascript and HTML.
Learn those three and you will be able to make anything you like

As far as I understood, you don't have any coding skills. With that in mind I suggest that you used a professionally designed wordpress theme . As a rule, such premium themes are highly customizable. WordPress makes it possible to build websites without any tech knowledge.0

It sounds as though you are over-complicating. The Habito website only looks like a chat session (and then only for an initial question). Other than that, it is a straightforward form dressed-up to look nice.
If your customer wants a natural language chat-bot type experience, that's high-tech, with a high price tag to match.
If your customer wants it to look like a chat exchange, but with fixed, multi-choice answers, then that is standard forms.0 -
Need to have development skills to pull off things likes this - PHP, Javascript type languages...
To be a serious web designer, you need to know how to write code in at least HTML, CSS and be able to experiment with a bit with jquery.
Using CMS templates will only take you so far.0
