Renault Megane Scenic centre console problem

Hi, I have a problem with my Scenic which is baffling me to say the least. The other morning I came down to find the hazards flashing, with no idea how they'd got on. I'm assuming someone broke in and knocked them as they weren't on at half 8 the night before. Anyway, that flattened the battery so I jumped it off the wife's car and went to work. The radio code needed entering but I figured I'd do it at work. Well, I couldn't find the code so that night I pulled the radio out when I got home and got the serial number. I then got a code off the Internet and went back to the car to enter it, only there was no power to the centre console. Well, not strictly true, if you switch the lights on it all lights up, but nothing now works. This is to say the clock (and radio display), the heater, the heated rear screen, and the radio. The flipping hazards work, but that's just the way I roll. I've checked all the fuses I can lay my hands on and all seems fine. All my mechanic friends are stumped. Any ideas? 2002 Megane scenic 1.6 petrol automatic, by the way. And yes it runs.

Can't comment on the original hazard lights issue but the no power issue will most likely be a one of the plugs on the back of the radio being loose. A lot of the console functions run through the stereo wiring so if the plug is not in properly none of it works.
Pull the stereo back out and make sure all the connectors are on tight.0 -
Hi, everything is plugged in tight, and no joy. Starting to think something is loose tho. Actually, one of the the wires leading to the radio has metal showing. Could that be it?0
