direct line or aviva - car insurace

hi guys - looking for car insurance. cost wise the lowest two are direct line and aviva. any suggestions as to if one is better than other? ta

Direct Line, been with them for years and happy with them. No issues like whats reported on here with other insurers.

Cant comment on Aviva, no freebies from either though.

Where are the call centres based ?

1 thing I likee about DL is the call centres are UK based or they appear to be based on when ive contacted them.

£33 DL cashback through Quidco. £66 for Aviva.

One thing I don't like about Aviva is the additional £200 excess if you don't use their repairer network.

Been with DL for years. They don't charge a management fee to make changes. e.g. add someone to my car for 1 day £1.30!
My wife and son are with Aviva, they seem pretty reasonable as well. e.g. son had a claim, repairs cost less than excess so they put it through as non fault.


Both are UK based and reasonable to talk to so comes down to features and costs :-)
