Hi I have received calls from a debt collection company about a 4yr old + pcn they said letters have been sent to my address concerning this charge but would not discuss any further details unless I gave them my personal details I did told them I had moved home so therefore wouldn't have received any correspondence Since they didn't ask for my new address i did not give it
Should I call them to inform them of my new address in case a LBA or judgement is given without me knowing and therefore letters can come to me
many thanks for any advice

If you know what PCN it was about, and still have it to refer to, you could write to the PPC, basically telling them that their debt collectors are wasting their time, as you deny any debt, and, by the way, here's my new address. Send by first class post with a free certificate of posting from the post office.
Then wait a further 2 years.0 -
Yep give the new address in writing (email is OK*) and do NOT imply who was driving.
Respond only as the keeper of the car at the time and certainly give your new address. You want to see all letters in good time in case they try a sneaky court claim to the old address just before Christmas to catch you out.
Email DRP using this - oh, and also tell them to CEASE AND DESIST with the phone calls and/or texts and to remove your phone number from their records or you will report them to the Information Commissioner for misuse of your data leading to unwarranted harassment. Insist they write only to your new/current address:
info@drpl.co.uk
Who is the PPC? Contact them in writing as well.

Don't just delete texts, TELL them (by email) that they MUST NOT contact you that way again.
You do realise that VCS do try very flimsy court claims, via BW Legal? All over the forum, easy to defend but you need to do as advised at this stage and start reading posts better:I will have to post letter as i can not find a email address for drp
So yes, you DO have their email address if it was Debt Recovery Plus (you said 'a debt recovery company') but BW Legal are NOT Debt Recovery Plus. BW Legal are solicitors, of sorts. And yes you can use the portal to contact them.
You need to get on a laptop and sit up and read how to respond to BW Legal letters before your court claim arrives.
We need to help you once you have read BW Legal threads which it seems you haven't, yet. You are sleepwalking into a claim that is very easy to defend as it will be rubbish (especially of you never said who was driving). But you need to sit up and read the forum better and tell us more rather than just saying you got a text from a debt collector.
You didn't - you have a VCS charge being pursued by BW Legal which is heading for a claim. Don't panic. These are winnable.PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

Have you notified the DVLA of your change of address? It's mandatory and carries a real fine (up to £1,000) if you don't.
You need to do it twice - once for your driver licence fence and once for your V5C (logbook). There's no read-across from one to the other, hence the need to do it twice. Please note, we are not a legal advice forum. I personally don't get involved in critiquing court case Defences/Witness Statements, so unable to help on that front. Please don't ask. .
I provide only my personal opinion, it is not a legal opinion, it is simply a personal one. I am not a lawyer.
