I have an intermittent problem with Google Chrome ...
Sometimes when it brings up an explorer pop-up window - e.g. when adding a gmail attachment or saving/downloading something - the select-location window very briefly appears before the WHOLE of Chrome (i.e. all tabs/windows) crashes & closes. Only happens occasionally but often enough to make it an irritation.
Chrome is up-to-date: Version 54.0.2840.99 m
Windows 8.1
Have Adblock Plus active
Anyone any suggestions, please?

Could be a Chrome extension doing something. Try disabling them all and seeing if the crash stops. If so re-enable one at a time and check for a crash.IITYYHTBMAD0

As an ex-mainframe dinosaur it's been a while since I've seen the term 'abend' used, and I'm not sure I've ever seen it in reference to a browser crash. Brings back lots of memories, most of them bad (early hours of the morning call outs, etc.).0

As you may have guessed, I'm also a mainframe dinosaur!!! ... although I had already changed my post to say "crashes" instead of "abends"!As an ex-mainframe dinosaur it's been a while since I've seen the term 'abend' used, and I'm not sure I've ever seen it in reference to a browser crash.
