Hi
Does anyone know where I can get a copy of adobe photoshop CS3 for free or the cheapest price possible? I heard about bittorrent but not sure whether I should download it from their. Im currently at college and this would come in really handy.
Thanks

You can get the student edition (assuming you're eligible) on Amazon for about £140. Or go for the cheaper Photoshop Elements (about £60) or the free GIMP.
Anything pirated (ie illegal) is strictly forbidden on these forums and that includes any discussion of torrents/p2p."She is quite the oddball. Did you notice how she didn't even get excited when she saw this original ZX-81?"

if you want a free photo editing prog , try Paint.Net0

You aren't going to get it for free Chris, unless it is stolen! Software piracy is bad news, it pushes the prices up for the rest of us, and likely to be full of spyware - avoid and do the honest thing.
It's an expensive program, but fantastic. It's the one application I couldn't live without.
There are two CS3 versions "standard" and "extended", it's very unlikely that unless you are in the medical or engineering section you'll use the addition extended functions.
As you are a student, follow superscaper's advice and get a student edition (same just cheaper, but you have to prove you are a student).
If you have an older version, you may be able to get a cheaper upgrade, but you'd need to check with Adobe.
Or go for Photoshop Elements, it offers a lot of the functionality for a fraction of the cost.

So could I get adobe CS3 standard student edition including illustrator?
Thanks for your help0 -
If you want Illustrator as well, you'll either have to buy it separately, or get the student version of Creative Suite Design Standard which includes Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign and Acrobat.
Have a look at the adobe site, and the link above and then talk to your tutors, they may have special deals with local resellers.0 -
PS Jigsaw24.com has the student edition of Adobe CS3 Design Standard for £129 + VAT
