how to play dav files on laptop

i urgently need to open and play dav files off cctv on a laptop but for the life of me i cannot work it out,

any simple way of doing it plz

DAV files are created by a DVR365 digital video recorder, and are used for recording video captured by CCTV cameras. These files incorporate modified MPEG compression and are saved in an encrypted format. DAV files are created by the SightBoss Central Station software installed on a DVR. They can be played back on a computer using the standalone PC DVR365 player software downloaded from www.openthefile.net/extension/dav

You either need a DVR365 player (.DAV files are encrypted DVR365 files), or you get a .DAV to MP4/MPEG/whatever converter.

Google is your friend.

thankyou... ill go try it now... really appreciate it as police want to view file tomorrow and i didnt realise i couldnt just plug n play

You can install a media player named Amcrest Smart Player on your laptop which can play DAV files without a hitch.
