But you can improve the insulation on the party wall substantially.No, a terraced house cannot be turned in to a detached house. Everyone has different priorities. For me, a detached house was a priority because I did not want to worry about noisy neighbours and I wanted to be able to have my music on as loud as I wanted.0 -
The OP hasn't actually said the other house is in a dodgy area where you're likely to get stabbed if you leave the house though, just that it's not in a preferred area. It might still be nice, just a bit further away from work or family.
If it were a choice between two fairly nice areas but one was less convenient than the other I'd probably go for the less convenient one. If it were a choice between a nice area and a rough area I'd never pick the rough area.0 -
