The RAC 90-day free cover offer confusion

Has anyone received theirs?
I applied in August and received a confirmation email which said that I would receive full details by post within a week. 3 weeks later I havn't got it so I phoned them and the first person said they would investigate and ring me back in 15mins. 2 and a half hours later still no phone call so I rang them back and a different guy asked if I had purchased a vehicle data check as the 90 day Free offer was only available through that. I said no I hadn't and that the link I applied through in August did not mention this at all.
I think the original thread has been moved to the CARS board but there isn't much activity over there so I wanted to ask for help here aswell as I'm sure some of you will have signed up for it.
The post was posted by an Official MSE person (i think) and does not mention that you had to purchase anything. Also some people in the thread seem to have received details by post.
So, any advice on what I should do? I still have my confirmation email from August saying it's confirmed that I'm covered.
Thanks for any help.

Yeah thanks for linking it, I wanted to ask here too cuz this is the forum I signed for it in. I can see the offer now does say that you have to purchase a vehicle check but it must have changed because it didn't say it before. Any ideas? Some people seem to have received it so I'm confused lol.0

It should have been straightforward - sign up with address & email and you get the cover - that's what I got - postal pack arrived about 10 days after email confirmation. Is it too late to try it again?0

Cheers for that. The offer has now changed to only receiving 90days free if you buy a vehicle data check. So I can't try again. But I will chase my original application up as I did sign up with an address and email and did receive a confirmation email but nothing in the post. This was in August when all you had to do was register (not purchase anything).
Glad to know some people have got theirs:T0 -
I too got mine around 10 days after i applied0

Cheers, goodness knows what I did wrong then lol. The people on the phone obviously thought I was on about the recent offer so will have to make it even clearer that this was the older offer. Put the cover to begin mid October anyway so it's not too late.0
