Barclaycard Claim Rejected
I recently sent a claim to Barclaycard stating i was miss-sold PPI. I quite sure i recall being told it was not an option when i signed up (at a pop up third party sales thing) . However Barclaycard have advised that my claim was processed online and that as such i chose to take the PPI out.
Unfortunately i have lost the original agreement which i signed at the time.
Do you feel there is any use in pursuing without the proof that i didnt process the application online?

The PPI issue was miss-SELLING - if you chose it online with no-one from the bank involved, they didn't sell you it, you chose it.
Unless there was a pre-ticked box (they will know the dates that was in force if they ever did that) or some wording that made it appear that it was recommended then you miss-bought so can't have been miss-soldSam Vimes' Boots Theory of Socioeconomic Unfairness:
People are rich because they spend less money. A poor man buys $10 boots that last a season or two before he's walking in wet shoes and has to buy another pair. A rich man buys $50 boots that are made better and give him 10 years of dry feet. The poor man has spent $100 over those 10 years and still has wet feet.

As simple as that then.
Does anyone know if Barclaycard used pre-ticked boxs? It was early 2000's when the account was opened.0 -

As above, if they did, they will know the dates and will pay out as cases will have been with the ombudsman before and always rule against them - egg did for example and the dates are known and PPI complaints in that period will winSam Vimes' Boots Theory of Socioeconomic Unfairness:
