Of course you should use it. Take no notice of absolutebounder, I've found his/her posts aren't the most helpful.

Sorry to offend, I thought this board was to help people.Yes I can make my own but this was given to me and I asked my partner what I could make with it and he said he would like cauliflower chesse. Surely using it up is better than binning it, jus because I didn't make my own!

You have not offended anyone, take no notice, yes you should use it up, shame to throw food away.

Next time if you do want to have a go at making your own, come on here, and someone will give you a step by step recipe.

    Hi I want a house,

Cauliflower cheese freezes really well. I've got three cauliflowers that need using up today so I'm making a giant batch of it and what doesn't get eaten tonight will go in the freezer. It can be cooked in the microwave from frozen but if you're going to reheat it in the oven it's best defrosted first.

There's an earlier thread on freezing cauliflower cheese so I've added your thread to it to keep the replies together.

So do I most of the time. Just finished a batch of strawberry jam. However, the OP said she'd been given a jar of sauce was wondering if the cauliflower cheese could be frozen. She didn't ask for opinions on whether she should use a sauce from a jar or make her own.

I intend to make cauliflower/brocolli cheese for christmas dinner and would like to make in advance and freeze. Would it be okay to make in the next week or two or should I leave it until nearer christmas

You can make it now and freeze it. I personally would steam the cauliflower & broccoli and make the cheese sauce but freeze them separately because I find the sauce does need a good stir when it's defrosted. Defrost it all overnight on Christmas Eve and bung it in a dish together and stick it in the oven to reheat with some extra cheese on top.
