Tesco current account - Problem taking out

Options
Half way through taking out account on line today and it failed half way through. When I try again I just receive a msg to call. Tesco tell me I cannot now complete online and must do by phone. Hate protracted calls to set up accounts!

Anybody else had same problem - Any workarounds to get back online?

Also, MSE main site states you can have 2 Tesco accounts - Is this correct? Not found any reference to being able to take out a second account.
Thanks

These things can happen inexplicably online. Give them a call, I've found their customer service good over the phone.

And yes, you can have two Tesco Current accounts, I have and so do lots of people on this forum. I opened one and then opened the other from the internet banking page.

    Really?

From the Tesco Bank website current account page, right there in the middle of the two 'apply' buttons...
Open up to two Tesco Current Accounts to help organise your spending
    From their FAQ section...
How many Tesco Bank Current Accounts can I have?

You can have two Tesco Bank Current Accounts.
    From the T&Cs...
You can't have more than two Tesco Bank current accounts

You can have two, but the system won't allow you to discard the first application and start another application online. I too had to phone them and I found it the best over the phone bank CS experience I've had.

If you prefer they can simply delete the first application from their end while you are on the phone, allowing you to start over again online.

I opened an account a couple of weeks ago, at the last question I got "Internet banking is not available" and when I tried to start over I was prompted to call Tesco bank. I'll back up what others have said here, great CS and it only took a few minutes (maybe about 5) for them to sort out my new account.

What's wrong with stating the facts, and showing the sources to eliminate any doubts? Everyone has their own style, no need to take offence...
