Unfortunately, I didn't retain a copy, so we'll never know. To the best of my recollection, it was along the lines of:
'I beg to differ with the above reviewer, and have to wonder if we're even reviewing the same product. I found it to be utterly bland compared to other brands. Most of them contain natural fruit juices, which make a huge difference to the taste and perceived quality. This product comes across as little more than sweetened water. I guess the clue was in the word 'syrup' on the label. Add a bunch of chemicals into the mix, and you have a huge disappointment awaiting you in your glass. There are much better versions of this product out there folks, and they're not that hard to find.'

So here's an idea. If the above version is considered sufficiently inoffensive by those of you who took the trouble to respond, I'll gladly make a 3rd attempt at posting. If it appears on their site, I'll gladly take it all back and offer you all my apologies for wasting your time. And for besmirching Morrisons otherwise good reputation.

The phrase "other brands" is what is costing you as you're not reviewing the product on its own merit you are comparing it with other brands.

If you review the product negatively but without mentioning any other product or brand then I would suspect it will be approved.

Having said that, it occurs to me that the reviewer also made reference to 'other brands', except that in his review they are cast in an unfavourable light. If you are right about the reason for the rejection of my 2nd review, the suspicion that double standards are in operation here seems well-founded.

Even so, I'll remove all references to other brands & see what happens. Speaking purely for myself, if a reviewer is disappointed by a product, I'd be only too happy to have their suggestions for better alternatives.

UPDATE: I posted the following review, and I believe it fully complies with their T's&C's:

I tried this on the strength of the review above, and I have to say, I profoundly disagree. Little more than flavourless syrup. If you check the ingredient list, you'll understand why. Nary a natural fruit molecule at which to shake a cocktail stick. Considering the country of origin, a surprisingly poor quality product.

After almost 2 weeks now,............nothing. Zip. Zilch. Nada. Diddly squat. Tίποτα. I stand by my OP - Morrisons are selective when it comes to unfavourable reviews. If you still prefer to believe otherwise, by all means knock yourselves out.

Yep, don't see why that review wasn't allowed seems fine. All I can think (and this is very unlikely) is that they may have objected to the phrase "country of origin" which may have violated this

"do not contain or promote discrimination based on race, sex, religion, nationality, disability, sexual orientation or age;"

    I think thats unlikely though

Might be a valid point if I were slighting everything they produce. On the contrary, I'm making a direct comparison with the normally high standard of quality of their produce. If anything, that's a compliment.
