Impending Divorce/ Death

My husband has terminal cancer, we are separated. He has put in for a divorce which is likely to come through in the new year. There is a possibility that he may pass away before this. He has no assets or money. I have s house in my own name he has instructed his solicitors that he does not want anything from me. In the event of his death prior to a divorce could I be forced to pay for his funeral cost. We do not have any children together. He has children from previous relationships who reside outside the UK. In the event of his death who is regarded as his next of Kin.

No you cant be made to pay for his funeral whatever your relationship. The only way you would have to is if you arranged it with the funeral director.Lost my soulmate so life is empty.
I can bear pain myself, he said softly, but I couldna bear yours. That would take more strength than I have -

no, you can't be made to pay for his funeral.
if he has not made other arrangements you might be contacted as his next of kin, but you don't have to, and can't be made to, do anything at all.All posts are my personal opinion, not formal advice Always get proper, professional advice (particularly about anything legal!)0 -

If he only has a few months to live, isn't divorce just an unnecessary expense? Why not let nature take its course?0
