Best way to view Prime TV

Having watched most of what I fancied on Netflix I cancelled my subscription and have switched to Amazon Prime. I have 2 smart TVs, one in the bedroom that has the Prime App and one in the living room that doesn't. I've been able to watch OK in the bedroom but I'd really like to be able to watch in the living room too, and I wondered what the best way might be?

1) Buy a Fire stick.

2) Buy a device that would allow me to cast from my Windows 10 computer (which one?).

3) Is there another way that I'm unaware of?

Fire stick no brainer. Look for discounts during Amazon Black Friday sales.

Thanks folks. I'd seen the possibility of a Black Friday reduction mentioned in another thread but so far it doesn't seem to have happened, it's £2 off but that seems to have been the standard price anyway recently. However, I'll keep an eye out during the day in case they decide to include it in the sale at some point today.

Last year if i recall it was black friday itself when they had the flash sale on the fire stick and fire tv's where they were around half price, so may not be until a week today that it does, would just check daily in case. I am planning on getting another one for spare room if they do go that cheap again.

Give it time, although they've started a week earlier this year most of the deals so far have been their ordinary "lightning deals" tat. I don't expect to see the "good stuff" until next week.

Yes, my conclusion was to try next Friday too. Although I'm getting a bit pi55ed off by the whole Black Friday thing anyway, it was bad enough when it was just a single Friday, but it now seems to be more than a week, and as neil says there really aren't any genuine bargains yet.

looks like it is not half price this year, does have £10 off though. will see later if it drops again.

That said i now may hold off to see a little while longer as looks like a new version may be introduced shortly as amazon have released new version to the US market.

  • I can't imagine the need for a better fire stick for just watching Prime TV on. Even Kodi isn't terrible on it.
