Ikea 0% kitchen purchase

Hi - we're about to order a kitchen from Ikea, but seeing as we have lots of expensive building work at our house, we want to use their 0% purchase plan and pay back over 2 years.

I assume they will want to check the purchaser's credit rating before approving, so I have a question. My other half had an issue with his credit card that he thinks is their fault and ended up hit with a credit downrating for non payment, which he is contesting, but nothing's happened yet.

So, will Ikea want to check credit? Will they insist on checking both of us? Or can we make it all in my name so they will just check me out (my rating should be fine)?
