Hi guys, so I overstayed in a hospital car park which is private land, I have had several reminder letters from the parking company (PCP enforcement Agency) and few months later I get a letter from Trace Debt recovery UK LTD demanding £150 saying if I don't pay within 7 days then they will instruct their solicitors where I may incur further costs.
Now I have read forums where they say I should just ignore, should I ingore this? I checked out their website and they seem legite..anyone dealt with them before and what did you guys do??
Thanks in advance..

Debt collectors can be ignored but you should really bring yourself up to date by reading the Newbies Sticky at the top of this forum.
Ignoring has not been routine advice for dealing with most PPCs for some years now.0 -
What happened when you complained to the hospital PALS? This should always be your starting point.
As advised, ignoring private parking companies has been a bad idea (unless you live in Scotland or NI) since the law changed in 2012, but it perfectly OK to ignore debt collectors.I married my cousin. Also known as toothless debt collectors. You can tell they are debt collectors as they lie. They claim years of experience but have only been going since March 2016.This is a system account and does not represent a real person. To contact the Forum Team email forumteam@moneysavingexpert.com0 -
From their website:These sometimes well-meaning, yet unscrupulous websites do not often provide accurate information such as the outcome of a recent landmark supreme court case: ParkingEye v Beavis, which was heard by The Supreme Court on the 4th of November 2015, where judgement was passed which proved that Parking Charge Notices are not only legal but also enforceable through the courts. It's Beavis, innit. Please note, we are not a legal advice forum. I personally don't get involved in critiquing court case Defences/Witness Statements, so unable to help on that front. Please don't ask. .
I provide only my personal opinion, it is not a legal opinion, it is simply a personal one. I am not a lawyer.
