My sister was over today and wanted to log into gmail from my pc. I cannot seem to do this because it is automatically set up to log in as me and I could not find a way to log out and let her sign in. What am I missing?

Go into your web browser, enter gmail.com in URL bar.
If you're logged in, and your mail appears, click on the 'profile' icon at top right, and a pop-up appears with 'sign out'.
Do so, and your sister should be able to sign in.0 -
Alternatively, create another browser profile for your sister/guests. That will have its own set of cookies and stored passwords, etc.

Make sure that the browser she uses saves her password, then you can read her mails, send some as her and generally really mess with her life. Just kidding

Depending on your browser, you may have an "open private tab/window" option. This will open a new tab/window which its own cookies and other settings, which is where the gmail logon is stored.
You can have multiple google identities open on the same PC at the same time if you want this way.A kind word lasts a minute, a skelped erse is sair for a day.0 -

Correct
OR no need to sign out
Just click on 'ADD USER' beside 'SIGN OUT' icon0 -
I find it's usually easier and quicker to have a portable Firefox/Opera around for this purpose.
You can of course add her as a guest user if it's going to be a regular thing.0
