I decided that I would like to replace my Medion laptop, as the letters are wearing off the keyboard.
However, yesterday, I looked on the website and thought the prices for the models I was looking at seemed to have gone up,so Googled to find any alternatives and found that an i5 they asked £619 for was only £599 on their Ebay outlet and an i7 listed on site as £699, was only £629, so going for the latter was a good idea.
I had a query, though, as the Ebay listing mentioned 2 years' manufacturer warranty, but also had a tick box to pay over £70 for a warranty, so called the given number to check . (The man said he wasn't sure, as he knew nothing about Ebay, as opposed to manufacturer website sales).
Today, I checked Ebay only to find they have put the prices up to £699,for the one I decided on and £629 (£10 dearer than on their site) for the i5.
If only, I'd just ordered...but I'll be saving money, as I have no intention of paying the inflated new prices.

If that is all that is wrong with it can't you just replace the keyboard? I've just done it on my own laptop and it was very straightforward.0

Yes but I thought I'd like one with a solid state drive, though my son could fit an ssd for me. The problem with a keyboard would be sourcing one with the same layout/size, as it's a 17" machine and Medion won't supply spares.
I did look for stick on letters, but could only find tacky ones, but I've found some better ones, now.
I've looked on the manufacturer website and notice the one increased to £699, is reduced, there, to £649, so with 3.3% off via Topcashback, it works out about £1.50 cheaper, so I'm back to thinking of treating myself. (This machine can be used by grandchildren, without no worries of messing up a new one).0
