HSBC Advance application

I applied for an HSBC account on 30/10/16, the last day of their switching incentive. Yes, I know I left it late.
Received a letter yesterday stating that the need me to provide ID in branch as my details don't match those already on their system (I hold a mortgage with them). I possibility made some sort of mistake on the application.
Has anyone else here applied during the time their switching incentive was offered and are you still in the account opening process?
Am I likely to receive the switching incentive? I've got an account ready to switch.
Even without the incentive it's still worth having the account for the regular saver so would continue with the application even if the incentive wasn't available.

Applied a few days prior to you. Got a letter with a signature form to sign and send back. That's it so far. They are just incredibly slow and inefficient. Have a look at their Trustpilot reviews.Ethical moneysaver0

Yup same here.
Applied on the final day, actually screwed up the deposit amounts in the application and got a referral so assumed would be declined.
Got a letter last week just stating that the information I requested was enclosed, and a leaflet stating the switching incentive.
Today received a letter stating the account was being opened and asking for a signature to be posted by return.
Very slow and inefficient but if they pay me the switching incentive and give me the regular saver then they are fine by me.0
