Celebrating the last true pop icon: Madonna. Icons don’t get much bigger than Madonna. She’s transfixed us for decades. We follow her every move, intoxicated by her unstoppable fame, beautiful men, glamour and incredible wealth. Let’s face it: at some time or another, we’ve all wanted to be Ms Ciccone.
Now, thanks to London’s premier Madonna party ‘Madonna Celebrates the Candy Shop’ on December 3rd, you too can immerse yourself in the Queen of Pop’s fantastic world.
'Madonna is what life is all about,' enthuses Kurt Hoffman who is organising the ninth annual Madonna Celebrates event. 'This year’s going to be bigger and better than anything we’ve done before. Everything has been especially designed to allow you to step into the intoxicating realm of the ultimate pop superstar. We want fans to experience Madonna like they never have before.'
The night will be held at the newly refurbished Eagle, south London’s premier polysexual bar and club, which now boasts an extraordinary Funktion-One sound system which will play the entire Sticky and Sweet tour.
'You’ll never have heard sound like it,' says Hoffman. 'But it’s not just about the acoustics – with a Madge-inspired set designed by Adrian Britnell, who has worked on such blockbusters as Moulin Rouge and Star Wars, we’re also in for real visual treat.'
Seven vast video screens, a ‘Candy Shop’, VIP area, Vogue ‘runway’, art installation, secret garden and a multi-mirror balled dance floor will be inviting you to get into the groove.
The night will also be raising money for local charity Wandsworth Oasis which supports local people living with HIV.
There are a few limited VIPS tickets being released. VIPs will receive a Candy Shop goody bag and an exclusive Steven Klein giant print of Madonna.0
