Amazon Prime complaint

I have finally got my Amazon firestick with a "prime" account - however, I am unhappy with the fact that, apparently - you are unable to remove your payment details (debit card) from the website - when I tried - my access was removed from prime videos !!
1-click payment method is required
I do not intend to use the firestick for any paid content.
This, I feel, should be allowed (it is on a non-prime account) - for financial security reasons
3 years ago - my bank account was hacked and I blame Amazon for this (no proof)

I bought a Fire Kids edition ready for my grandson's Christmas. I found that so long as I set up an Amazon account using his email and added a billing address everything worked just fine without adding a credit card.
Before I realised no card was actually needed and apparently getting an account blocked by adding a "fake" PayPal test CC number as suggested on the web I ordered a Pockit pre-pay card which cost 99p and which you can add money to by bank transfer - http://www.pockit.com/ which I'd intended to use. I suggest you use that approach if you absolutely must have a card defined for Prime accounts.0 -
You, apparently can watch very limited content (not even BBC iPlayer) without any payment....kwikbreaks wrote: »I bought a Fire Kids edition ready for my grandson's Christmas. I thought Prime gave you loads of "free" content. If it doesn't see countless threads asking about Kodi which you can load on the Fire stick and does give access to legitimately free content as well as the stuff most ask about.0

Prime does give you loads of free content - but a few are "paid for"kwikbreaks wrote: »I thought Prime gave you loads of "free" content. I guess that Amazon are bankiing on people wanting to pay for some - and by making it "1-click" - they assume that more people will go for it ?0 -

are contradictory by my reading.
Do you have Prime? If so and you need a CC on file but don't want your regular card then buy a Pockit card as per my earlier link.
If you don't have Prime and don't don't want to pay then Kodi is the way forward.0 -
I meant that I had very limited access to any programs - but that is now sorted - I had to change a payments setting to allow 1-click payments (which I am not happy about !!)kwikbreaks wrote: »and

Use the generic "testing" visa card number ..
Set the card number to 4111 1111 1111 1111
and the expiry date to any date in the future
It goes without saying that you wont be able to purchase against this info0 -
