Cutting Net Curtain Cords

I had to put up some net curtains recently using traditional cords. I hadn't realised the metal wire inside these cords was so thick and difficult to cut. Can anyone recommend something to cut them with please?

I always used a hacksaw. And remember, measure twice, cut once!

decent pair of pliers or sidecutters will snip straight through it. Remember to cut it slightly short - they stretch!!
