Hi, this is from The Next website.

Why not just pay cash? If you can't pay cash you probably can't afford it. I was silly enough to get a next account a few years back and got into buying stuff a lot more casually than if I was handing over cash. The balance went up to £2000. I was paying for stuff long after it had gone to the recycling centre! Now I pay cash and if I can't afford something I save until I can. That way you have no worries.

We don't know the OP's financial situation, they may have more than enough cash to pay for purchases but is making use of a 0% credit facility (potentially free borrowing). Sensible purchasing on credit can be financially beneficial.

True we dont know the whole situation but OP is paying the minimum on a pair of boots. I don't see why anyone would do that if they were in a good financial situation.
