What timescale did you agree when you paid the surveyor for the report?
  • I think they previously mentioned 48 hours to get the information to our mortgage lenders and up to 7 days for the report to be sent to us by email.. just wondered if it really does take this long? Maybe I should stop being inpatient!:rotfl:

Well there's your answer. Remember they'll be working on other reports as well as yours.

Depends how busy they are too. Market's generally slow and it's a quiet time of year... See that piece of string there...? ;)

Mine took at 2-3 weeks in April 2013. Constant chasing (and lots of lies off them).

  • Haha how long is a piece of string seems to be a regular saying in this process! But yes I am just being impatient then at least I know this now :) thanks guys!
  • My valuation and survey were done on a Friday, and they emailed me the results the following Tuesday :)

It really depends on your surveyor I think, mine seemed to take some pride in making sure you got the results quickly.
  • I shall keep my fingers crossed then! I think it was Up to 7 days so hoping it may be earlier:)

    Thankyou
