First time buyer with no previous bills- can I join the cheap energy club?

My partner & I are in the middle of purchasing our first home & have heard good things about the Cheap Energy Club but was wondering if we would need to have previous bills/meter readings/suppliers to initially set up with? If not, what information do you require? I was wondering if anyone would be able to help us if we gave some general information about us & our new home. It is a 4 bed end of terrace house built in 2004. It uses both gas & electricity. We both work full time so will be mainly using energy in the evenings & at weekends. There is only 2 of us living there & we tend to have showers rather than baths. What other information would anyone need to be able to help us. Any information will be gratefully received. Thanks in advance

Nope...no requirements, sign up with an email....pretty simple.
It is just a comparison site for energy companies.
1) You just type in your current suppliers and tariff. (so you can see the savings/if any when compared).
2) Type in your annual gas and electric bill in KWH for the most accurate result.
Either your bills will have an estimate on that
or
You can work it out yourself by looking though you the bills for two actual (not estimated) metre readings which are roughly a year apart. You then deduct the older reading from the most recent one. You will have to convert the gas meter readings into kwh however by multiplying it by 11.2 .
Then pick the cheapest result.
Some people look at the rating of the energy company (customer service) as a factor. So you may look at that and the price to make a decision.
Ensure that the site is showing results based on your tariff for the whole year. Not what the savings would be if you were on a standard tariff. Cheap energy club shows both by default, but some don't.
It is that simple.0
