I have read up about Quinn though, and to be honest I think all insurance companies are pretty much the same these days.

if only that was teh case, it would make life so much simpler, unfortunatly theres some real cowboys out there

My dilemma is that although I have 9 years no-claims bonus it is currently in use on my wife's car. To get the kids on that was stupid o'clock money (Mini Cooper) and as it is a lease car I just give it back in March when Mrs Blue will only drive the little runabout (the sacrifices parents have to make hey ;))
Couldn't you use the NCD to insure the vehicle your daughters are driving and then re-insure the mini without NCD? Some companies offer a second car discount which is the equivalent of maximum NCD - under certain circumsatnces.
  • depends on what time of mini cooper, some of them are rediculously high grouping

My AA insurance for my Ford KA had gone up by £90, to around £260 this year so I went looking elsewhere. I read on the net that Quinn Direct was one of the cheapest so I got a quote. They quoted £1,800!!!!!!! For a Ford KA? I ammended the quote to include NCD protection and it went up to over £2,000!!! What the hell???? :(
