Does an Amazon firestick come with all of the necessary leads to operate it ?
What about a power lead to power the device from a USB socket on the TV - is that a "standard" USB to MicroUSB ?

In other words the only thing you'll need is an HDMI cable.
Also, I find it works better when used with the HDMI extender cable, it seems, for me anyway, that it picks up a better wifi signal that way.0 -

Just for clarity to OP, you dont even really "need" an HDMI cable as the unit its-self plugs directly into HDMI port0

Mine is just plugged in the back of the TV with the extender. You'd have to be quite careful with the type of HDMI cable you bought if you wanted to extend it further.Just for clarity to OP, you dont even really "need" an HDMI cable as the unit its-self plugs directly into HDMI port
Also: Not all TVs push out enough power to run a Firestick. Make sure you've got a spare plug socket nearby just in case.0 -
^^ this ..
I have noticed however that even though the firestick will complain that it isnt getting enough power from the TV the first time you use it, it will still work .. Go figure0 -

Mine use to constantly restart when it was plugged into the TV for USB, so I stopped and plugged it into the mains. A few weeks ago, I tried using the TV again and it worked fine. Odd but I guess a software update fixed it.0 -
Dont forget OP it will send all details back to the USA .0
