No the crank shaft position sensor is not the same thing but it could be the source of the problem. I would have thought the car would have stopped completely if it was the crank shaft position sensor though.
I suppose the best thing to do would be to wait and see if it plays up again. If it does start running funny again then try my suggestion and disconnect the air flow meter, if it is faulty you will notice an immediate improvement when it is disconnected.0 -
Ok thanks for that - I have had the crank sensor fitted and touch wood its been running fine for two days now - if I experience any problems again I will suggest getting the above looked at.Hindsight is a wonderful thing0
