Heaven forbid that you go over to Florida with a gay person in toe as they will be held in a American prison for the rest of there life, Nothing will change and the USA will be the same as it has been up till now from a tourist point of view.0

Post of the day! :T
Im fairly certain he will have a good time mingling with the half a million gay people in florida.
If youre going to texas make sure people cant see his gay nose or his gay eyes. You might get trouble then.
Re the rioting. There isnt much happening in florida about 20% of the population is over 65 and the remainder is pretty close to retirement. Im guessing youve seen the worrying news about several thousand protesters in a country of 315+ million people.0 -
Some people really need to get a grip :wall:Everything will be alright in the end so, if it’s not yet alright, it means it’s not yet the endQuidquid Latine dictum sit altum videtur0

I think you should all stay at home and do a bit more research, maybe read a few more books ?0 -
Oh for goodness sake, really?
I hope this thread is a wind-up.Accept your past without regret, handle your present with confidence and face your future without fear0 -
No - even under Trump you won't be allowed to riot.
Best you stay home and go to school as usual.I Would Rather Climb A Mountain Than Crawl Into A Hole

Yes they would be allowed in.
Slight civil unrest can happen anywhere, just stay away from it, local news and reception at your hotel are good sources of information.Posts are not advice and must not be relied upon.0 -
It's way too dangerous for you.
Syria or North Korea is the way forward.0 -
I am just back from Florida and was there during the election. I have many gay friends in Florida and met up with them while over. Your friend will be perfectly safe. Orlando Pride went ahead while I was there, and the city came together -gay and straight-to remember the victims of the Pulse shooting.
If it is a Pulse style attack you are concerned about, you would have to be exceptionally unlucky fir the same type of event to happen while you are over, let alone be caught up in it. I say that as someone whose friend lost six of their friends at Pulse, so it's not a situation I make fun of.
Most younger Americans are pretty tolerant of gays. There are plenty of gay bars and gay areas. Also, I know of at least one gay guy who voted for Trump. It is a bit like Brexit here, people aren't running around shooting each other, though the day after the election, a lot were walking around in shock.
I was in Orlando meeting friends (in the city, not the tourist areas) the night of the protests and didn't see them. They aren't tending to happen in tourist areas and are dying down anyway. Nothing to worry about there either.
Just don't plan a trip to Russia the year after.. definitely not as gay friendly. Please stay safe in the sun and learn the A-E of melanoma: A = asymmetry, B = irregular borders, C= different colours, D= diameter, larger than 6mm, E = evolving, is your mole changing?
